WorkCover WA has partnered with LGIS to create online training course for all workers’ compensation workplace rehabilitation providers called Workplace Rehabilitation Providers Capability Framework.

This recently launched product is free for everyone and is specifically designed to assist workplace rehabilitation providers to develop and improve their knowledge of workers' compensation and the skills required to optimise their performance and client service delivery.

LGIS has been an essential part of the working group involved in the development of this resource for the last six months, representing the self-insurers interests with this project.

We come with over two decades of experience in successfully managing workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims through our injury prevention and injury management strategies.

With the launch of these training modules, WorkCover aims to create better learning opportunities for new providers to the WA Scheme or allied health new to workplace rehabilitation. The training module is based on the Workplace Rehabilitation Providers Principle and Standards of Practice by WorkCover WA.

Injury management and claims advisors are advised to complete these modules as it will help provide them with greater insight on how workplace rehabilitation providers operate within the Scheme and expectations around standards of practice.

The Capability Framework is organised around the essential characteristics of work in the workers' compensation scheme.

Five broad capabilities and behaviours describe the common expectations.

  • Display Resilience
  • Act with Integrity
  • Be Inclusive
  • Communicate Effectively
  • Commit to Clinical Expertise
